Secretaries or administrative assistants nowadays are expected to possess more competence to enable them to do all secretarial duties perfectly. For this, secretaries graduating from STARKI were equipped with three-pillars competence: skills, knowledge, and attitude. They were trained to possess secretarial and administrative skills, computer skills and language proficiency, refined Bahasa Indonesia, and English both oral and in writing. They were encouraged to be well-knowledgeable, open-minded, and keeping abreast with technological advancement. They were guided to develop themselves continuously as all of the skills and knowledge must be based on good attiude, good personality, honesty, friendliness, reliability, dependability, and trustworthiness. Moreover, workplace demanded secretaries with problem-solving skills, listening skills, and critical-thinking skills. Secretaries graduating from STARKI proved that they were capable of apllying their competence at the workplace.
