Computational Thinking (CT) is the concept of thinking computationally in solving problems. Currently the teachers at MI and MTs Pesantren Nurul Islam have not implemented CT in their learning process. The learning method in CT includes 4 main pillars, namely: Decomposition, Abstraction, Algorithm and Pattern Recognition. CT trains students to think computationally while solving problems across all disciplines. Computational Thinking is a concept of a thought process that involves the formulation of a problem in finding a solution, such as the way of thinking of a computer system or a machine that works effectively. The CT learning method shapes students to be creative and innovative, and able to communicate and collaborate. Currently CT can not only be applied in the field of informatics engineering, but can be integrated with other scientific fields such as Indonesian, English, Mathematics and Science. The community service activity program introduced the CT concept for MI and MTs teachers at the Nurul Islam Islamic Boarding School - Pagesangan Mataram. With the hope that teachers can incorporate CT into the learning curriculum, solve problems students are able to solve problems using computational thinking concepts, and naturally conceptualize using CT, so that problems can be obtained effectively and optimally.
