Abstract

Chronicle writing is a problem for chroniclers. Meanwhile, chronicle writing is fundamental for those who are in the field of Research and Development (R&D), especially if they must provide a comprehensive report at the end of the year. Therefore, the R&D of the National Catholic PESPARANI Institute held a chronicle writing training on Sunday, February 14, 2021. It was agreed that the aim of the chronicle writing training was for trainees to understand and apply chronicle writing skills related to various activities carried out by the Catholic PESPARANI Institute both National and Regional. Without a doubt, the R&D of the National Catholic PESPARANI Institute contacted chronic writing expert for sharing and training on chronicle writing procedures. The training was provided by Mr. Tonny D Widiastono, who has been with Kompas Daily for more than 33 years. Chronicle writing materials are delivered using the 5W+1H method. In the training session, the concept of chronicles and the correct way to write chronicles were explained. The 148 participants who were delegates from the Catholic PESPARANI Institute both National and Regional also given a chronicle writing training session. The results of the chronicle writing training activity; Firstly, participants judged that the training was very interesting and helped the participants' horizons about chronicle writing. Secondly, the chronicle writing in the Catholic PESPARANI Institute both National and Regional is increasing. Thirdly, the Institution for Fostering and Development of the National Catholic Ecclesiastical Choir Festival created a special website for chronicle writing publications.
