Abstract

COVID-19 is a deadly disease that attacks the human respiratory system and spreads very quickly. During the new normal regulation, the positive number of COVID-19 in Semarang was still high. One way to protect yourself and your family from the threat of COVID-19 is to diligently wash your hands with soap. This Community Service in the form of making hand soap training aims to help the society in reducing the spread of COVID-19 in Semarang, and specifically provide counseling, knowledge and new skills to targeted people regarding hand soap making technology and an overview of entrepreneurial opportunities. Partner of this activity was the PKK RT 05 RW 02 community in Perum Kekancan Mukti Pedurungan Kidul Semarang. This community services was designed in three sessions, namely counseling and material giving, training in making hand soap, and discussion. The results of community service, partners showed a positive response because they get benefits such as new knowledge and skills, partners were happy and enthusiastic about the provided material because it was useful especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This activity was an alternative to spend time due to losing job (PHK) and partners were motivated to try hand soap entrepreneurship opportunities.This activity also provided benefits for the country by helping the government together to reduce the number of COVID-19 through the 3M movement, implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle through washing hands with soap, and helping the government to provide education "literacy and technology" to the society
