Abstract

Teaching and learning activities have always been part of a teacher's work, presenting media as teaching material nowadays do not rely solely on markers and chalk as well as explanations with voice media directly from a teacher. Training in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint Software Applications to support the work of teachers in schools is needed, although the use of markers as a tool is still needed but at this time markers or other stationery are not the only tools needed in teaching and learning activities in class. Competence in using application software for presentations such as Microsoft PowerPoint is indispensable to support the work of teachers in schools. The purpose of this PkM is to provide the ability for teachers to prepare teaching materials in multimedia form using Microsoft PowerPoint so as to increase the competence of teachers in the field of presentation and delivery of teaching materials to their students, in addition to the ability to use this PowerPoint Application Software is also useful for things outside of teaching, for example at school meetings, teacher and student meetings, presentations to prospective students' parents and may be used for other purposes. The obstacle faced is the device in the training that is a variety of participant laptops with varying specifications so that it does not have an application with the same version of Microsoft Power Point. The second obstacle is that the basic abilities of the participants also vary so that the speed of learning is not the same, so special training is needed for participants who lack some basic skills. The result of this training is that teachers gain new knowledge and skills using Microsoft PowerPoint to build multimedia teaching materials.
